Acronyms have been shortlisted for three Devon & Plymouth Chamber Awards!
We’re happy to announce that last week we were named on the shortlist for three Devon & Plymouth Chamber Awards.
The Devon & Plymouth Plymouth Chamber Awards, which this year are being held on Friday 24th September at the Schiller Hall, Buckfast Abbey, honour businesses from across the South West in a range of categories. Acronyms have been shortlisted for the following awards;
- The Growing Visionary (Small Business of the Year)
- The Digital Innovator (Digital Business of the Year)
- The Service Quality Leader (Customer Commitment Award)
After a difficult year experienced by many, Managing Director Dave Smith was delighted to see the recognition the company has received.
“It goes without saying, it’s been a difficult 12 months for us, as it has for many businesses. Whilst the pandemic has created a demand for our services, this in itself has created new pressures. With that being said, I’m very proud of how the team has reacted to the challenges of the last year or so, which have ensured as a business we’ve continued to keep growing despite the challenges in front of us. These nominations are a testament to the hard work of everybody.”
Technical Director David Parker, who heads up the IT support desk at Acronyms, was equally pleased with the announcement but was particularly proud to be acknowledged in the Customer Commitment Award.
“We pride ourselves on exceeding client expectations and building long-lasting relationships with our clients that make a positive difference to their businesses. Therefore, it was fantastic to see us named on the Service Quality Leader shortlist. The team work incredibly hard to ensure that we deliver the excellent customer service our clients have come to expect, so a big thank you must go to them. Their customer satisfaction scores in the last 12 months have been tremendous.”
David Smith concluded by returning to a familiar topic of his – business in the South West. “I must also say well done to all those businesses that have been shortlisted and good luck. I look forward to spending an evening with you at the end of the month. You browse through the shortlist and it just goes to show what wonderful companies we have here in the South West. As I have said for a while now, Devon isn’t just about cream teas and holidays. There are plenty of successful businesses across the region, doing some amazing things, and an evening such as this one is a perfect way to celebrate that and promote all that we do in the area to a wider audience. Let’s use events such as this one to promote the business world of Devon and encourage more businesses and exciting opportunities to join us here.”
Stuart Elford, CEO of the Devon & Plymouth Chamber, said: “A huge thank you to each and every member who submitted an entry for this year’s Devon & Plymouth Chamber Awards.
“It has been an incredibly tough decision for our panel, with so many of our members enjoying great success over the last 12 months and many more thriving during the Covid-19 pandemic. We’ve somehow managed to select fantastic businesses and individuals in eight different awards categories, and we now have the even tougher task of choosing our winners.”
