Acronyms Announced Headline Sponsor of Tamar 10k in Three Year Deal
Following the success of the 2023 Acronyms Tamar 10k, we’ve made a significant commitment to the future of the event, by a agreeing a significant partnership with race organisers Run Plymouth to serve as headline sponsor for the next three years. This partnership highlights our commitment to the local community and our dedication to supporting health and wellbeing initiatives in Plymouth.
The Acronyms Tamar 10k debuted in 2019 with ourselves as the headline sponsor, marking a historic moment as participants ran across the Tamar Bridge in an organised race for the first time since the bridge was opened in 1962. Following a four-year hiatus due to external factors including COVID-19, this beloved event made its triumphant return to the Plymouth running calendar in 2023. We returned as the headline sponsor, demonstrating our steadfast dedication to the race. Now, in a monumental stride forward for the Tamar 10k, we have solidified our support with a three-year agreement, furthering our commitment to enhancing the event’s success year after year.
The Acronyms Tamar 10k is a closed road racing event that incorporates the iconic Tamar Bridge, allowing runners to experience a truly unique 10k that briefly connects the two counties of Devon and Cornwall. With our support, the race holds an ambition to further emphasise this connection and support the running community across the two counties.
