Acronyms Acquire Cornish IT company IT-OK
We’re delighted to announce that we have acquired Cornish IT company IT-OK, a move that will allow us to increase the number of clients we look after across Cornwall.
The acquisition comes after discussions with former directors Ian Chambers and Andrew Hampton, both of whom required more time to focus on their award-winning digital agency Pitched.
Following our expansion into Bristol at the beginning of 2020, this move marks years of growth from one-city provider, to regional IT support company. With clients from the foot of Cornwall up to Bristol and with a few even further afield, Acronyms are now truly a business for the entire South West.
Along with taking ownership of all existing IT-OK contracts, the acquisition means that we are also welcoming IT technicians Nathan and Ben to the Acronyms team. Both will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth transition for our new clients. They will also bring their knowledge and experience to our existing team of engineers, to help provide proactive IT support across the entire region.
As the country emerges from the COVID-19 pandemic, we want to commit to Cornwall and have plans to open a new office in the county during early 2021. This will not only allow us to serve our Cornish clients more efficiently, but will also help us create additional jobs for local residents. As with Plymouth, and our early plans for Bristol, we have every intention of building upon our current reputation by immersing ourselves in the local community.
We want to thank both Ian and Andrew of IT-OK for their tireless work in making this acquisition a reality. We’re proud that they picked Acronyms to continue their fantastic work and we look forward to building upon a great relationship that has blossomed over the past year. We wish them every success with Pitched, and look forward to seeing how that business grows.
We’d also like to thank Nathan, Ben and our own employees for their patience and understanding during this latest part of our journey. Expanding into both Bristol and Cornwall during a global pandemic has at times proved tricky, but amongst all the uncertainty our staff have stood firm and they continue to deliver excellent customer service, during difficult and very busy times. Having spoken with Ian and Andrew regularly throughout the year, we know that the same can be said for Nathan and Ben and we’re certain that this commitment, will be what makes their time at Acronyms a very successful one.
We’re now looking forward to this next chapter in the Acronyms story. We hope that this recent development will excite everyone connected with the company, but more importantly, will enable us to support more businesses across the South West in pursuit of their goals.
